Trump, Trump Jr.: Stock futures ‘dead’
Trump Jr. told NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday that he “worried about the stock market because we’ve been so lucky and we’ve had this kind of great economic growth.”
The president has called the stock-market rally “a miracle.”
The White House on Saturday issued a statement saying the administration is “optimistic” about the market’s prospects.
“Our optimism is grounded in the fact that our economy has been growing steadily for more than two decades and the Dow Jones Industrial Average has been at an all-time high,” it said.
“It is an opportunity for the president to reiterate his belief that our economic policy is working and will keep us from repeating this economic disaster.”
