Fox Sports News is giving a special award to each of the winners from across the sports networks for their coverage of the market.
The winners of the award are announced in the following categories:1.
The winners are revealed in the weekly FOX Sports Spotlight awards show and feature a special panel of analysts, sports personalities, investors, analysts and journalists to talk to their followers about what makes the markets tick.2.
The panelists talk to viewers about how the markets are performing, what their takeaways are and what their next steps will be in the market for the upcoming year.3.
The audience also gets a chance to vote for their favorite stocks and companies.
The three winners are:1, General Electric Corp. (GE)2, Verizon Communications Inc. (VZ)3, UnitedHealth Group Inc.
The award will be handed out at the end of the show and each week on Fox Sports GO.
Fox Sports is currently the only cable network that offers its audience a daily summary of the news from the markets, which gives them insight into how markets are doing and what investors should be looking for in the markets.
The company has been a favorite target of the stock markets since it announced a series of quarterly dividend hikes in 2015, and the stock was trading at about $50 on Tuesday morning before the release of the earnings call.
Shares of GE closed up $1.12, or 5.3%, at $57.82, while Verizon and UnitedHealth climbed $1 and $3, respectively.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 4.75 points, or 0.6%, to 24,836.49.
The S&P 500 rose 1.7 points, OR 1.6% to 2,839.43.
The Nasdaq Composite closed up 1.8 points, Or 2.2%, to 3,638.50.
The Russell 2000 index of the largest companies in the U.S. closed up 0.5 points, To 2,902.94.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 index of 500-stock index companies closed up 2.5% to 5,818.70.
